South Sacramento HCP Implementation Review Committee
The South Sacramento Conservation Agency Board of Directors in June 2019 appointed four development, agricultural and environmental leaders to the Implementation Review Committee that will play an important advisory role on South Sacramento Habitat Conservation Plan implementation. Four additional industry and stakeholder leaders were appointed as alternates. The appointments include:
The Implementation Review Committee will meet at least bimonthly and be responsible for:
- Bob Shattuck, Shattuck Planning & Management, Inc., representing the business community
- Mike Wackman, Wackman Consulting, representing the ag cropland community
- Pat Kirby, Sacramento County Farm Bureau member and rancher, representing the ag rangeland community
- Sean Wirth, Environmental Council of Sacramento and the Sierra Club, representing the environmental community
The Implementation Review Committee will meet at least bimonthly and be responsible for:
- Recommending adoption or modification of South Sacramento HCP mitigation fees
- Recommending annual SSCA operating and capital budgets
- Approving, acquiring, selling, or exchanging interests in land or easements that are owned by the SSCA
- Approving and making modifications to the South Sacramento HCP Preserve Management and Monitoring Plans
- Approving applications submitted by Participating Special Entities for coverage under the plan permits
- Approving annual reports prior to submittal to the SSCA Board
- Establishing committees or subcommittees to help implement the South Sacramento HCP
